Mexico shows off other side of Michoacan

Known for its art, culture and food, Morelia aims to shed being pigeon-holed as just the capital of a violent state.

Thousands of film lovers have descended on the Mexican city of Morelia for its international film festival. The colonial city is a UNESCO world heritage site known for its beauty.

But in recent years, it has attracted more attention for being capital of the violent Michoacan state.
