End of the space shuttle era

Thirty years of space travel comes to a close as Atlantis touches down at the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida.

The space shuttle has touched down at the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida for the last time. Atlantis landed at Cape Canaveral, bringing four crew members back from the International Space Station.

It brings the curtain down on 30 years of hard work for the space shuttle programme.
