Squatters in Argentina are being forced onto the streets, even as the country suffers from an acute housing shortage.
Evictions have ended in deadly violence in recent months – prompting the UN and Amnesty International to voice concern over the treatment of Argentinian squatters.
After clashes that left four people dead, local government expropriated 40 hectares of land. But the issue remains unresolved, as some 3 million homes are needed to cover the housing deficit.
