Somali refugees hit by dire medical crisis

Problems in Somalia are being compounded by outbreak of disease and fractured support.

The UN has warned the famine in Somalia is getting worse, particularly in the country’s southern regions where outbreaks of diarrhoea and measles are complicating an already dire situation.

Doctors and aid workers are stretched beyond limits to aid the thousands of sick, ailing and starving who are succumbing to malnutrition and exhaustion inside the world’s largest refugee camp.
