Two activists charged in St Petersburg under new law that has been denounced by rights groups.

Two gay activists have gone on trial in the Russian city of St Petersburg under a new law banning what authorities describe as “homosexual propaganda”.

Human rights groups say the new law is a major setback for human rights in Russia.
