Central Nigeria wracked by ethnic violence

Fighting between rival groups in Plateau State has claimed more than 100 lives and left many homeless.

Tension is high in central Nigeria two weeks after the killing of more than 100 people in violence between rival ethnic groups.

A military operation is under way in Plateau State to find those who carried out the attacks. According to reports, however, the region’s leaders have little confidence in it.
