Philippines siege over but many still suffer

A month after the Philippines army siege on Zamboanga city ended thousands remain homeless, without compensation.

More than 10,000 families in the southern Philippines lost their homes during a siege in September, when government soldiers and fighters from the Moro National Liberation Front were battling for control of Zamboanga City.

The government has declared the crisis over, but for thousands of families the recovery will take a lot longer.

Jamela Alindogan reports from Zamboanga city.
