Journalists face intimidation in Egypt

Rights groups worry about charges levelled against Al Jazeera journalists detained in Cairo.

Journalists covering the conflict within Egypt have come under increasing pressure from the authorities.

Al Jazeera’s own journalists – including correspondent Wayne Hay, cameraman Adil Bradlow, producer Russ Finn and local producer Baher Mohammed – are all currently being detained by Egyptian authorities.

The types of charges being filed against reporters are worrying many human rights groups.

Al Jazeera’s Sherine Tadros reports from Cairo.
