Chicago crime spurt blamed on upbringing

Former gang members say rising crime is due to lack of proper father figures among African Americans.

Chicago’s rising crime rate is on the agenda of a meeting of community leaders this weekend. The city has more murders than New York.

Al Jazeera’s John Hendren reports from Chicago.
