Kurdish anthem vote sparks debate

Kurdistan regional government appears split on choosing national song, with some preferring religious tone.

The Kurdistan Regional Government in Iraq is preparing to vote on approving an official anthem.

For those pushing for an independent state positioned in the intersection between Iran, Turkey, Iraq and Syria, some hope a uniting song will also help promote a sense of nationalism. 

But there are also different views among the more religious Kurds.
