Sri Lanka minorities hit by economic hardship

Sri Lanka’s sectarian divisions are having an economic impact on its minority citizens.

In Sri Lanka a hardline Buddhist group known as the Bodu Bala Sena is accused of inciting violence against minority groups, especially Muslims.

In a modern economy, however, communal violence has much wider implications for the economy and the livelihood of citizens.
