One dead and scores injured as “You Stink” protests over corruption and uncollected rubbish continue into second day.
Anti-corruption protesters in Beirut, Lebanon’s capital, have called off a large rally planned for Monday.
Organisers are assessing the damage after two nights of clashes with police, in which one demonstrator was killed.
The protests were intitially sparked a month ago by the failure of the authorities to remove household rubbish.
But the focus has now been widened to include alleged government corruption and incompetence.
