South Africa could claim glory at the Nations Cup, but has the country’s sporting legacy benefited ordinary people?

The quarter-final line-ups are complete at the Africa Cup of Nations, with hosts South Africa preparing to face Mali for a place in the semi-finals.

But have South Africa’s big sporting events, such as the football World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations, influenced the growth of grassroots sports for young players?
